Having worked with Polarbase before; L E West made contact again, after seeing a recent increase in demand for their medical supplies. As the client was drawn to our modular build walk-in cold rooms, our sales team were quick to provide the perfect solution. The client knew that in the short term, by choosing this option, they would be able to increase turnover, stock a vast range of products and distribute more efficiently to their clients. There was also the appeal of this being a scalable solution in the long term. As their business grew, so did the cold rooms!
Our sales manager and sales executive conducted a detailed site survey. This included; an area assessment of the proposed locations, an outline installation process was recommended, with the client having the opportunity to ask any questions.
Contracts were then swiftly drawn for the purchase of both a chilled room and freezer room. The first unit’s intended use was specifically for an overseas client’s products, while the freezer room used solely for the storage of ice packs that are sent with every order to maintain the required temperature.
The products were delivered and installed in three stages over the space of a year. Working in complete conjunction with the client’s circumstances on site, the initial delivery of the cold rooms took place in late 2014. With L E West having visitors to assess their facilities, it was important for the cold rooms to be in place for this occasion. Refrigeration blocks were installed in the chilled unit in early 2015, while the final stage of the project was completed in November 2015 once the power supply on site was fully functioning. Throughout this project, ongoing contact was imperative to continue to uphold our good working relationship with the client.
