Earlier in the year, Polarbase were contacted by Super Camps as they required a new walk-in chiller and freezer room for their peak season. This would ensure that the preparation for meal times went as efficiently as possible; Super Camps identified the value of having cold storage on site.
Super Camps provide OFSTED registered holiday camps for children out of term time. Offering a range of activities to suit a variety of interests, Super Camps attracts a diverse range of participants. As part of the service the children are catered for daily.
As part of the procurement process, Super Camps received a number of quotations with each being evaluated on both quality and price. Account Executive, James Richmond met with the client on site to determine the exact requirements. Very quickly, James had grasped the concept and very quickly proposed a Multi-Compartment Room with a split refrigeration system. This allowed for space to be maximised within the area identified. Due to the open nature of the site, security cages were suggested to safeguard the evaporator mounted externally to the building.
Polarbase were awarded the contract, scoring best in both categories. Suring the planning phase, the client then asked if it would be possible for a mezzanine floor to be incorporated directly above the cold rooms.
James worked collaboratively with the appointed mezzanine company to design a suitable solution that met the needs of the client and integrated with the Multi-Compartment solution.
Following a quick delivery, the complete installation of the split refrigeration system took less than six days. The client commented that “the entire process had been superb from start to finish.”
